The multiple National Awardee G. V. Prakash Kumar’s latest film, “Immortal,” directed & written by Mariyappan Chinna, graced the cinemas on September 4, 2026, under the banner of AK Film Factory. The Tamil romantic horror film began its box office journey with ₹1.25 crore net, marking a 78.57% bigger opening than Prakash Kumar’s previous release, Happy Raj (₹65 lakh).
Kayadu Lohar played the leading lady role and was supported by T. M. Karthik, Kumar Natarajan, Lollu Sabha Maaran, and others. Arunkumar Dhanasekaran backed the film, while the cinematography was handled by Arun Radhakrishnan and edited by M. Rajesh. The film was reportedly made with an estimated budget of ₹7 crore.
