Meesaya Murukku 2 X Review: Director Hiphop Tamizha returns with the spiritual successor, ‘Meesaya Murukku 2‘, more than nine years after the cult hit prequel, ‘Meesaya Murukku’. The Tamil musical comedy drama film was released in theatres on 25 September 2026, under the banners of Avni Movies & Benzz Media (P) Ltd.
As FDFS (First Day First Shows) has concluded, moviegoers and fans are sharing their first impressions on X (formerly Twitter). Netizens praise the engaging first-half effort, followed by the interval and climax, which also worked well. The prominent stars of the film are Adhi, Ketika Sharma (Tamil debut), Chaithra J Achar, Ramya Ranganathan, and Harshath Khan.

Engaging 1st half followed by a good 2nd half. Intro, Interval Block and Climax all worked well.
There is no dull moment or draggy portions, the whole movie was engaging. But the story was usual and predictable. Overall, a Vibe Watch
#MeesayaMurukku2 Review: MM2 is not a direct continuation of MM1. It is more of a spiritual follow-up. The pattern remains the same, as it deals with the rise of underdogs, but the treatment is different. Adhi uses this part to discuss the politics within the music industry and how it affects independent artists who have no backing.
This is not as entertaining as its predecessor, which had more mass appeal, but the issue is addressed with heart here. The three-generation setup works well. Karunas as Das, Baba Bhaskar’s father, is very good, while Baba Bhaskar as Shiva, Adhi’s father, delivers a decent performance. Adhi, as Jeeva, the younger version of Das and Shiva, carries the film well, along with Arshad Khan, Sha-Ra, Yogi Babu and the rest of the cast.

The First Half had quite a few cringe moments. Compared to the First Half, the 2nd Half was much better and very motivational.
The way they connect the Gana song to the larger story and take it to the world was interesting. The 2nd Half delivers several motivational moments through the songs.
Harshath Khan’s character felt very cringe and could have been avoided. HipHop Aadhi appears in three different looks and has performed well in all of them….
