Titans Movie Review: “Titans” is an action-packed Malayalam fantasy comedy thriller, which features Jayasurya and Vinayakan in the lead roles. Titans is directed by Prince Joy and is written by James Sebastian. The movie, released on 22 October 2026, is a blend of comedy, fantasy, criminal activity, and action elements.
It focuses on a young thief, Antony Yakuza, and his roommate Anwar, who undertake the final robbery with the intention to establish themselves. But, as luck would have it, their driver Rejimon harbors his own motives, complicating their simple plot.
Titans, even though it seems to have an exciting idea in itself and a fine set of actors, fails at translating the creativity into an entertaining movie.

Cast Performance
The cast performs quite well in their parts even if there are inconsistencies.
- Jayasurya: His energy on screen and recognizable comedy timing come in handy for the lighter parts of the movie, especially the first part of it.
- Vinayakan: With his unique screen presence, he adds something to the movie, although the screenplay is not able to use him together with the lead actor properly.
- Nihal Nizam: With the other actors of the film, he is another member of the cast who played an important role.
- Other cast members: Baby Jean, Sunny Wayne, Indrans, and Suresh Krishna join the colorful company of characters of the movie.
There were possibilities to create the entertaining duo in Jayasurya and Vinayakan, but proper work would make the performances better.
What’re Positive About Titans?
This is how Titans looks from the good side:
- Unique concept: The combination of crime, fantasy, and comedy is an interesting idea.
- Performance of Jayasurya: His comedy skills provide entertainment for the viewers, at least during the first part.
- Humor: There are several funny scenes that can provide some relief to the audience.
- Experimenting with genres: The movie tries to break the stereotypes about Malayalam comedies.
There was a promising idea, but its implementation failed to bring entertainment.
What’re Negative About Titans?
What makes the most significant drawback of the movie is its poor execution. The script fails to combine all the ingredients into one coherent picture.
- Poor Scriptwriting: The story lacks the consistency that would help create a credible atmosphere for the fantasy movie.
- Fluctuating Pace: The beginning of the movie offers quite an entertaining viewing experience, while the end becomes dull.
- Humorous Elements Lack Impact: Many comic sequences seem to miss their effect.
- Unrealistic Fantasy Sequences: Not everything related to fantasy elements turns out to be believable.
All these shortcomings contribute to the feeling of boredom created by the movie.
Conclusion
Titans is an ambitious film that does not manage to fully reach its heights. Jayasurya and Vinayakan are the two talented actors who manage to attract the attention of the audience and entertain at certain points, while the inconsistencies of the script, fluctuating pace, and unrealistic elements of the story affect negatively the total impression.
Do you have to see it? If you are a fan of Jayasurya or Vinayakan, then there might be a couple of entertaining moments. However, if you are looking for a well-written thriller or comedy, then you should moderate your expectations.
