Barbie Day 1 Box Office Collection Report: Barbie was released against the most anticipated Biography, History, and drama film Oppenheimer, and now the film has become the 2nd most liked film in India after Oppenheimer. Despite being a different genre film, the film is still quite strongly performing against Oppenheimer. According to the Deadline report, the film had surpassed Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’s preview collection, where Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was earned $17.5 million in the U.S. On the other hand, the Margot Robbie-led film was expected to earn around $22.3 million.

Barbie had overall 41.61% English 2D occupancy on the opening day; in the morning shows, footfalls were 25.39%; in the afternoon shows, 38.99%; in the evening shows, 50.20%; and in the night shows, footfalls were 51.86%.

As we all knew, Barbie did not create that kind of buzz in India, but after the grand promotions of Oppenheimer in India, Barbie also got boosted, and the film also made a quite impressive collection from the advance booking. Even the Barbie movie was on the trending list in Book My Show for the record ticket booking, and in 24 hours the film sold around 107.79K tickets. The film earned ₹ 5.00 Cr nett in India.
