Nag Ashwin helmed and penned the high-octane futuristic epic, sci-fi, action film “Kalki 2898 AD,” all set to hit the big screens on June 27th, with the steller stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, and Brahmanandam, among others. Prabhas Starrer Kalki 2898 AD Censor Formalities Completed, without any major Cuts
The Hyderabad CBFC finally gave clearance to the Telugu version of Kalki 2898 AD’s censorship. The PAN world film has been awarded a U/A certificate, and 180.56 minutes of theatrical runtime have become Prabhas’s career-widest film ever. The CBFC committee was earlier informed to make small changes, like adding a disclaimer in the beginning with a voiceover that this is a fictional venture and it takes only cinematic liberties; there is no intention to hurt any religion.
The committee was also asked to mention with an original text that this is “600 years after Mahabharat, and the word Veedi was also muted during a dialogue, referring to Kaal Bhairava. After overcoming all these changes, the CBFC personnel finally handed over the clearance certificate to the makers.
Kalki 2898 AD Became Prabhas-led Widest Film Ever!
Early in Kalki 2898 AD, Prabhas delivered many films, but this is going to be Prabhs’s lengthiest film ever. His biggest successful films, like Baahubali 1 (159 minutes), Baahubali 2 (168 minutes), Salaar Part 1 (175 minutes), Rebel (176 minutes), and even his 2023’s most hyped film, Adipurush, had a runtime of 179 minutes, but this time his most hyped film censored with 180.56 Minutes.
