According to the industry tracker Sacnilk.com report, Asif Ali and Anaswara Rajan’s mystery, crime, thriller Rekhachithram collected Rs 1.9 Cr net at the domestic box office on its opening day, beating 2025’s biggest opening film, Identity, which scored Rs 1.80 Cr on its opening day. The Indian gross number for the film stands at Rs 2.2 Cr (Karnataka: ₹ 0.2 Cr; APTG: ₹ 0.02 Cr; Tamil Nadu: ₹ 0.05 Cr; Kerala: ₹ 1.9 Cr; and Rest of India: ₹ 0.03 Cr).
It received positive reviews from the audience and critics; side by side, on IMDb, it achieved an 8.2 rating based on 197 individual reviews. It has the potential to score around Rs 5-6 Cr net within the opening weekend, and following that, the beginning week can recover the budget amount.
