Tourist Family OTT Release Date: The critically and commercially acclaimed Tamil comedy–drama “Tourist Family” was released in theatres on 1st May 2025; post a month of a solid box office run, it is locked to debut on the digital platform. Abishan Jeevinth directed and wrote the film, and starring in the film are the ensemble of M. Sasikumar, Simran, Mithun Jai Sankar and Kamalesh in key roles, supported by Yogi Babu, M. S. Bhaskar, Ramesh Thilak, Bagavathi Perumal, Elango Kumaravel, and Sreeja Ravi.

The Million Dollar Studios & MRP Entertainment’s joint production Tourist Family is now locked to stream on JioHotstar from 2nd June 2025. Earlier, as we all knew, the family entertainer was released in theatres only in the Tamil language; now, after the box office success, for a wide reach, it is all set to premiere in 5 languages: Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. JioHotstar made this official announcement with the caption: “Wholesome emotions, arriving on June 2! #TouristFamily streaming from June 2 on #JioHotstar”
The blockbuster film was reportedly made with a budget of Rs 7-8 Cr, followed by the Indian Express exclusively reported, including the marketing cost total budget was Rs 16 crore (US$1.9 million). According to the industry tracker Sacnilk.com report, it grossed a massive Rs 83.9 Cr at the worldwide box office, with the Indian market contributing the majority, Rs 68.4 Cr gross, and overseas Rs 15.5 Cr, marking it as the 6th top Kollywood-grossing film in 2025, just after Suriya’s Retro Rs 97.28 Cr.
The Abishan Jeevinth directed and wrote a heartwarming comedy-drama packed with emotions, family values, and laughter, backed by Nazerath Pasilian, Magesh Raj Pasilian, and Yuvaraj Ganesan, after blockbuster success at the box office, locked to debut on small screens from 2nd June 2025.
