The action entertainer debuts at the box office with a double-digit score, which marks it as the 9th top opening Hindi film in 2024 and the 3rd top opening of the lead Dhawan’s career, despite Pushpa 2 & Mufasa: The Lion King dominating the Hindi market. It received mixed reviews from the moviegoers, and notably, Salman Khan’s cameo was mostly praised by the audience.

As per the latest box office update, Varun Dhawan’s mass action entertainer Baby John opens at the box office in the range of Rs 12.5-13.5 Cr (rough data) net in India, which surpasses Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon-fronted superhit heist comedy-drama Crew‘s opening day score of Rs 10.28 Cr and becomes the 9th top Hindi net opener of 2024.
On the other hand, it also registered as the 3rd top opener of Dhawan’s career, following 2019’s Kalank (Rs 21.60 Cr) and 2017’s Judwaa 2 (Rs 16.10 Cr). The Christmas holiday helps it to bring the audience to theatres throughout the day; the Thursday notable hold will help it score a handsome number by the end of the extended opening weekend. The film will also have a long holiday season till New Year to step strong.
