‘Exam’ Series Review (2026): The recently aired Prime Video original Tamil web series called ‘Exam‘ comes at a point when exam scams and the controversy of leaking papers have become the hot topics of discussion in India. The seven-episode suspense drama directed by A Sarkunam portrays corruption in competitive exams and highlights its destructive effect on deserving candidates.
Although Exam manages to raise an important and relevant issue, this thriller suffers from poor consistency in building up suspense. Good acting skills and a good plot ensure viewers’ interest in the series; however, it fails to create a gripping atmosphere.

What’s Wrong With Exams?
Poor Technological Quality

Final Verdict
‘Exam’ is a noteworthy and honest thriller in Tamil cinema which merits praise for bringing up such a crucial matter as cheating during entrance exams. The acting, emotional value, and realistic plot structure ensure that the show can hold one’s interest. Still, poor direction and a lack of creativity prevent the series from making an impression.
Even with its shortcomings, Exam makes for a good entertainment option for viewers who enjoy social drama and crime mysteries.
