Maalik box office collection day 4: Rajkummar Rao’s first-ever gangster role in the crime drama “Maalik,” also featuring Prosenjit Chatterjee, Manushi Chhillar, Huma Qureshi, Saurabh Sachdeva, and others, continues to draw attention at the box office. According to the official box office update by the Tips Industries X (formerly Twitter) handle, Pulkit directed and co-wrote the film Maalik, which witnessed, as expected, a 66.13% dip and added Rs 1.88 Cr net on day 4; with the past 3 days of opening weekend scoring of Rs 15.02 Cr, the total domestic net collection now stands at a respectable Rs 16.90 Cr.

The Monday box office hold, which is quite good, reflects the solid efforts of the Maalik team, with intense cinematography attracting the audience towards the ticket counter. However, the momentum may not be enough to recover the medium budget of Rs 54 Cr in its theatrical run. The film will get a big setback from 25th July, when the Ajay Devgn-starring biggie “Son of Sardaar 2” arrives in the theatres. But it will be interesting to see how it will perform after the action comedy arrives in the theatres.
