Wonder Man Trailer Review: A Meta Story Inside Hollywood
The Wonder Man series typically delivers a narrative that a legendary filmmaker by the name of Von Kovak desires to remake a “Wonder Man” movie that is being retired. He intends to reinvent the superhero genre because he believes that audiences are exhausted of the standard tropes.
Simon Williams, a struggling actor, gets this opportunity. In spite of the toughest competition, he is determined to get the part. But there are rumours around the studio that they are in need of the legendary Leonardo DiCaprio for the role.

Simon is guided by Trevor Slattery, who seems to be acting as his mentor or coach. Simon tries to use a deep process and create a backstory for the character; Trevor humorously tells him to “show up and say the words.” While Simon is preparing for the callback, the director tells him to be a normal man and explains his vision of exploring the space between fact and fiction.
The chief intention of the director is to make a unique film so that no filmmaker will dare to make any superhero film afterwards.

Themes Explored in Wonder Man
Overall, Wonder Man is a parody of the filmmaking industry. Above all, Wonder Man deals with the themes of the intersection of fiction and reality, persistence in the face of rejection and criticism of recurrent industry trends.
Verdict
The presentation of the trailer is unique and unprecedented. The colour grading looks better than most of the other Disney+/MCU shows. It is actually going to emerge as a real show.
