Viduthalai 2 global box office collection day 3: The National Award-winning director Vetrimaaran helmed and scripted the Tamil periodic crime thriller “Viduthalai 2,” featuring Soori, Vijay Sethupathi, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Manju Warrier, Kishore, Anurag Kashyap, and others, which debuted in the worldwide theatres this Friday (20th December).
Due to the remarkable success of its prequel Viduthalai Part 1 (2023), business analysts predicted earlier that it will open with a handsome number, and on Saturday and Sunday there is an expectation to score double-digit numbers. But after opening with the predicted number, on the other weekend days it fails to achieve the expectations and on Sunday sees a slide of 2.60% decline and mints a similar number as opening day Rs 7.50 Cr. After spending opening weekend, the crime thriller stands at Rs 22.70 Cr net in India.

As per the latest worldwide box office update by the industry tracker Sacnilk.com, Vijay Sethupathi’s Viduthalai 2 in the last 2 days grossed Rs 25.00 Cr (India: 17.75 Cr; Overseas: 7.25 Cr).Continuing the footstep on opening Sunday, i.e., day 3, the Indian market grossed Rs 8.75 Cr (Karnataka: 0.6 Cr; APTG: 0.5 Cr; Tamil Nadu: 7.3 Cr; Kerala: 0.2 Cr; and Rest of India: 0.15 Cr), and overseas well hold breached the Rs 30 Cr mark smoothly. Now the weekend total global gross stands around Rs 34 Cr. The real test already begins today (Monday), which will hint at the future of the film.
