Vishwanath and Sons Twitter Review: The Suriya and Mamitha Baiju-fronted bilingual family romance drama “Vishwanath and Sons” after long anticipation, was finally released in theatres worldwide today, August 14, coinciding with the Independence Day weekend 2026. Directed by Venky Atluri, the film has started receiving early reactions from moviegoers on X (formerly Twitter), which are majorly positive.
Apart from the lead duo, the movie also has Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon in pivotal roles. Nimish Ravi handled the cinematography, which was edited by Navin Nooli, and the music was composed by the talented G.V. Prakash Kumar.

#VishwanathAndSons First half – Excellent
– Took 15 Mins to setup the plot and Conflict !!
– Once #MamithaBaiju entered, the film took off and totally entered into the fun mode. Mamitha & her mannerisms was super cute
– #Suriya‘s Screen presence and performance was asusual superb
Radhika has good scope & the scene involving Suriya, Mamitha and Radhika was hilarious…
#VishwanathAndSons A Watchable, Clean Family Entertainer With a Good 1st Half but a Weak 2nd Half!
After a slow start, the first half feels refreshing and stays focused on the core plot with a good mix of fun and emotion. Just when you expect that flow to continue, the second half drifts into melodrama with subplots that don’t really work and the fun becoming limited. The climax is handled a little better….

When the story was leaked and the trailer dropped, I was worried that the film might have nothing more to offer. But the 2nd half has a major surprise that wasn’t revealed in any publicity material!
The director shows two sides of the aspect he chose, and trust me — this is going to work big time with families!
Audiences are laughing out loud and getting emotional in so many scenes….
