Ikka Trailer Review
The biggest pull of the trailer lies in the showdown between Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna. Sunny Deol does well with his cool, intelligent, and calculating role as a defense lawyer, whereas Akshaye Khanna steals the show with his larger-than-life screen presence and intense performance.
Tillotama Shome is as good as anyone playing the role of a persistent prosecutor in the court room scenes. Dia Mirza, although having limited appearances in the trailer, seems to have played an important part in the story of the movie.

What’s Good in the Trailer
- The courtroom clash between Sunny Deol and Tillotama Shome in the trailer looks very promising.
- Fantastic dialogues, including an iconic dialogue of “2.5 kilo ka haath” by Sunny Deol, give the movie fantastic fan appeal.
- The moral dilemma presented in the movie, rather than the typical hero vs. villain story, makes for an interesting viewing experience.

What’s Bad
- The primary idea of how a son of a powerful politician tries to evade getting into trouble is an old theme that has already been seen in several movies.
- An overly emotional soundtrack coupled with a bigger-than-life treatment may make this movie look excessively melodramatic; this can divert attention from its legal aspects.
Final Verdict
In the trailer for The Ikka, all the features that one would expect from a courtroom thriller have been seen—a strong cast, great dialogue, politics, and suspense. This film can turn out to be one of the most interesting courtroom thrillers ever made if it is able to merge both emotional aspects with its legal plot.
