When and Where to Watch Akka? YRF Entertainment (the digital arm of Yash Raj Films) presents the highly anticipated upcoming web series, ‘Akka,’ which has officially set its premiere date. The series ensemble features the National Awardee Keerthy Suresh and Radhika Apte in pivotal roles, marking their first-ever collaboration. The period thriller is locked to stream by the end of this month.

When and Where to Watch Akka

On Tuesday, as reported by film critic Christopher Kanagaraj, ‘Akka’, led by Keerthy Suresh and Radhika Apte, is headed to premiere from September 30, 2026, onwards on the OTT giant Netflix. It’s worth adding that previously the first look/glimpse for the series was unveiled more than a year ago, on February 3, 2025, which created immense buzz around the show.

Plot Overview

Akka set a fictional city of Pernuru in the 1980s, where the matriarchal society is controlled by women. In the center of the society, ‘Akkas,’ an elite sisterhood group, are dominating, and their backbone is gold-smuggling trade. Radhika Apte is playing a key smugler; on the other hand, Keerthy Suresh is one of the Akkas.
