Shaitaan CBFC Certification: The Hindi supernatural thriller ‘Shaitaan‘ generated significant excitement following the release of its phenomenal trailer. Scheduled to hit the silver screens on March 8th, the film features R. Madhavan as the antagonist and stars Ajay Devgn, Jyothika, and Janki Bodywala in the lead roles. On Monday, the film successfully cleared censor formalities and received certification from the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification).
Hindi supernatural thriller Shaitaan CBFC Certification Awarded U/A Certificate on March 4th
On March 4th, the film underwent the censoring process and received a U/A certificate from the CBFC, along with approval for an official runtime of 132 minutes and 15 seconds [2 hours, 12 minutes, 15 seconds]. According to a report from Bollywood Hungama, the Examining Committee (EC) mandated certain changes, including:
- Adding a voiceover to the disclaimer and specifying that the film does not endorse Black Magic.
- Including a warning about alcohol consumption.
- Replacing an offensive word with a suitable sound.
- Reducing the quantity of blood shown from the face of the character.
