Los Angeles / Kochi, September 16, 2026: Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju-starrer Malayalam romantic comedy film “Bethlehem Kudumba Unit” has achieved a historic milestone at the USA box office. The entertainer was hit theatres worldwide on 21 August 2026, and within 24 days, it officially surpassed the iconic $14.4M milestone and became the highest-grossing Malayalam film in the USA of all time. Directed by Girish A.D., the film’s USA run has reshuffled all-time Mollywood rankings.
A Historic Run in the United States
As reported by the reputed market tracker Venky Box Office, driven by word-of-mouth and strong critical reception, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit grossed an excellent $1,444,331/ INR 13.80 Cr (counting) in the first 24 days.
With this massive figure, the Malayalam rom-com has officially smashed the lifetime USA gross figure of Mohanlal starrer 2025’s L2: Empuraan ($1,412,461/ INR 13.50 crore) and recorded the biggest Malayalam grossing film in the USA market of all time.
Worldwide Milestone and Nivin Pauly’s Return
Financed by Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan, and Syam Pushkaran, the entertainer has grossed over ₹310 crore at the worldwide box office in 26 days and emerged as the biggest-grossing Malayalam film of all time, surpassing Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra (₹301 crore+). This significant achievement shows Nivin Pauly’s powerful big-screen return.
Simultaneously, it’s worth noting that the leading lady, Mamitha Baiju, is winning over audiences with her performances. Her last Tamil film alongside Suriya, “Vishwanath & Sons,” proved to be one of Kollywood’s biggest box-office hits of the year.
