Season 2 Plot Overview
Season 2 continues where the first season ended, bringing forward the story of Dr. Prabhat Sinha (Amol Parashar) and his struggle as the MO (Medical Officer) in Bhatkandi, Jharkhand. The Gram Chikitsalay, a.k.a. primary health center (PHC), continues to improve not only its condition but also Dr. Prabhat’s building trust among the villagers. However, PHC struggles with a shortage of essential medicine supplies, even though only 15-20 patients are visiting daily.
Meanwhile, Dr. Gargi Singh (Akansha Ranjan Kapoor) gives a clever solution to Dr. Prabhat to overcome the medicine shortage in the Adarsh PHC. The government runs a competition where PHCs are judged by different parameters, and the winner gets the rare tag of ‘Adarsh PHC.’ This winner, Adarsh PHC, receives the very first medicine supplies.
But will this task be easy for Dr. Prabhat and his team? How do Banrakas and Binod’s entries from the Panchayat impact this season? What will happen next?

Positive Aspects
- As expected, Amol Parashar’s portrayal is the key highlight of the series, alongside his compounder, Phutani played by Anandeshwar Dwivedi, who is brilliant.
- Deepak Kumar Mishra and Arunabh Kumar‘s plot perfectly highlights the medical system at the grassroots level.
- Vaibhav and Shreya‘s dialogues are effective, especially the humour portions, which perfectly landed.
- Anand Bhaskar‘s BGM works well.
- Tribhuvan Babu Sadineni’s cinematography injected breath into the series by capturing pure village life.
Negative Aspects
- Nirahua, a.k.a. Dinesh Lal Yadav, failed to leave his deep impact.
- Banrakas and Binod’s entry from ‘Panchayat’ is now in a development position, which requires more space.
- The emotional portion in Gram Chikitsalay season 2 somewhere looks missing.
- The ending episode looks messy, which has left no hook to attract the viewers for the next season.
Verdict
Overall, Prime Video’s latest Gram Chikitsalay season 2 improves compared to the first season but still has a long way to go to make an impact like “Panchayat.” Being a TVF creation, the series is falling short to reach that benchmark. If you are a fan of the ‘Gram Chikitsalay’ show, you can watch it once for continuity; otherwise, it can be skippable.
