The film opened to fantastic audience response, which is also reflected at the box office, as the film has delivered one of the strongest openings for a Malayalam film in 2026.
Reported by the reputed market tracker Sacnilk.com, Patriot has debuted at the Indian box office on a solid note, with ₹9.80 crore net in 2,636 shows across the country and became the top Malayalam opening film in 2026 so far. The film has secured the notable domestic net figure, aided by exceptional occupancy in Kerala. The opening day Malayalam 2D overall occupancy was 73.44%.

The market tracker also reported ‘Patriot’ has debuted at the worldwide box office with ₹29.37 crore gross. The Mahesh Narayanan-helmed and penned film has grossed ₹11.37 crore at the domestic box office and is majorly driven by the overseas market (₹18 crore).
The key reason behind the massive overseas opening is the strong fanbase of Mammootty and Mohanlal among the Indian diaspora. The film is expected to continue its strong momentum over the weekend.
As per the North American market tracker Venky Box Office report, till Friday 7pm PST, Patriot has managed $118K (₹1.12 crore) gross.
