Raja The Raja Plot Overview
Raja The Raja’s plot revolves around Raja (Ruthvik), who is a young boy with an ambition of becoming a fashion designer. However, his father does not like his profession, and there lies a constant struggle between his dreams and his family’s wishes.
In the course of his journey, Raja comes across Adhya (Visakha Dhiman), and their relationship turns into romance. As their relationship deepens, some surprising discoveries make them realize that their story started many years ago in their previous life.
In the movie, there is a smooth transition from the fun-filled 1990s timeline to the current happenings. The movie includes elements of romance, emotional family stories, and at times comedy. Essentially, it discusses issues of self-confidence, destiny, forgiveness, and reconciliations, and for this reason, it becomes a family entertainer.
Actor Performances
- Ruthvik acts sincerely when he plays the role of Raja. It is because he plays the role of a young man in pursuit of his dreams despite family disapproval. His chemistry with Visakha Dhiman is convincing, but it lacks more intensity in the emotional scenes.
- Visakha Dhiman shines in her first film debut playing the role of Adhya. She plays her role elegantly and with innocence. She manages the part of reincarnation well.
- Dr. Naresh Vijay Krishna plays the emotional part of the movie. His acting when portraying the part of the father is realistic.
- The supporting cast comprising Saikumar, Srinivas Avasarala, Parvatheesham, and Vishnu OI does an impressive job, as they add comic relief and emotional content to the movie without overshadowing the central plot.
Positive Points

- Another strong point of the movie is its sincere direction by Annil Boyiidapu. The emotions come across genuinely, and then the father-son bond stands out as the best part of the story.
- The nostalgic atmosphere of the 1990s is captured wonderfully in terms of production design and visual effects. The cinematographer Ravikiran Boyidapu has delivered beautiful visuals for both rural and urban locations in the movie.
- Mark K. Robin’s melody-rich score perfectly matches the tone of the movie, and the concept of reincarnation gives an element of intrigue to the story.

Negative Points
- Although the movie has many emotions in it, Raja The Raja has inconsistent pacing, especially in the first half. Certain scenes would have benefited from better editing and have felt unnecessarily long.
- The script in Raja The Raja is also rather predictable with hardly any surprise elements. Moreover, the hero in the movie should have had more development for creating a bigger emotional connect.
Final Verdict
Raja The Raja is an emotionally strong and entertaining film for the whole family thanks to its great storytelling, stunning visuals, and performances. Although it isn’t very innovative in terms of the romantic genre, it still manages to provide enough heart and nostalgia to be enjoyable for viewers.
If you want to watch a Telugu movie that has plenty of romance, family emotions, and reincarnation, then Raja The Raja is something that you can enjoy with your family.
