‘The Voice’ Season 28: The much-awaited Knockouts of “The Voice Season 28” have finally started on October 27, 2025, and as expected, it has brought an exciting new phase of competition to NBC’s hit singing show. The show is set to host the weeks of intense battles in the presence of legendary coaches like Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire, Michael BublĂ©, and Niall Horan. They all have entered the Knockouts with eight talented artists, and they are all fighting for a place in the Playoffs.
It is different from the Battle Rounds, because Knockouts give each contestant the power to choose their own song. This is important because it will give viewers a deeper look into their artistry and style.Â
‘The Voice’ Season 28 MentorsÂ
This season, The Voice has brought the two legendary Mega Mentors to guide the contestants in the form of Joe Walsh, a Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, and Zac Brown, the Grammy-winning frontman of the Zac Brown Band. Walsh has previously worked alongside Niall Horan and Reba McEntire, and Brown has been known to mentor teams under Michael Bublé and Snoop Dogg.
The show is loaded with a brand-new feature called the “Mic Drop Button”. This allows the coaches to use it once on a performance that leaves them completely stunned. The four “Mic Drop” artists will later compete for fan votes, and the winner is all set to earn a live performance spot at The Rose Parade Presented by Honda on January 1, 2026.

Ava Nat Defeats Sadie Dahl for Team Niall
For Team Niall, it was Ava Nat who was standing against Sadie Dahl. As they both were powerhouse vocalists, they gave each other tough competition. Ava chose “Hopelessly Devoted to You” by Olivia Newton-John, and Sadie delivered “Too Good at Goodbyes” by Sam Smith.
Niall called it one of the most emotional duels of the night, and as it was not necessary for the competition, Nikal ultimately went with Ava. “Ava is the most consistent one we have on the show,” Niall said. “Her storytelling is insane. I feel so confident with Ava going into the playoffs.”
