Lenin Movie Review (2026): Three years after making a mark in Telugu cinema through various releases, Akhil Akkineni comes back with “Lenin“, an action film with a strong touch of commercial elements. Lenin Movie Plot
Lenin’s storyline kicks off in 1989 in the village of Sri Ramapuram, Chittoor, and the story follows Lenin (Akhil Akkineni), an orphan brought up by Jayanthi (Eashwari Rao) along with her son Vasanth (Pramod Panju). Lenin leads a happy life till he gets entangled in love with Bharathi (Bhagyashri Borse), who reciprocates his love.
Everything changes in Lenin’s life once he finds out some disturbing things about those whom he loves most. The revelations make him take revenge and get justice.
Cast Performances
- Akhil Akkineni gives one of the best performances of his career. Akhil is confident when it comes to action scenes, and his ability to handle emotional scenes shows how much he has grown as an actor. The screen presence of Akhil lifts the film through many important sequences.
- Bhagyashri Borse gives a dynamic performance and displays a charming screen presence. The onscreen chemistry between Bhagyashri and Akhil is amazing and makes romantic scenes worth watching.
- Pramod Panju turns out to be one of the most unexpected elements of the film. His character becomes very important in the second half of the film and leaves an impression with a convincing performance.
- Sivaji performs in an efficient manner as a grey-shaded villain, while Eashwari Rao adds emotions to the story. Brahmaji and Shatru are efficient in their roles even though they have minimal screen space.
Positive Points
The best part about Lenin is the confident comeback of Akhil Akkineni. Director Murali Kishor Abburu introduces him as a complete commercial hero with efficient action and emotions.
The pre-interval sequence, interval block, major twists, and climax are some of the best aspects of the film. The background score by Thaman S is excellent and helps the film in creating emotions and action, thus increasing the effectiveness of the movie.
Production values of the movie are high, and the cinematography by Leon Britto has excellently captured the rural feel of the movie as well as the action scenes.

Negative Points
While the plot is engaging for the audience, there comes a point when the screenplay gets predictable because the motivation of some of the characters can easily be figured out.
The movie also faces the problem of pacing due to the inclusion of songs, which are not required at all.
Further, characters such as MLA, Brahmaji, and Shatru were in need of better writing skills and screen presence.
