The Family Man Season 3 Review: Finally, after two successful seasons, The Family Man Season 3 is back. As expected, the film is receiving a lot of attention from the fans. The show is loaded with the showrunners like Raj & DK setting the expectations for the third instalment, which were sky-high. The series once again has the powerhouse performer in the form of Manoj Bajpayee, who is the unassuming secret agent Srikant Tiwari.
He is revered for its seamless blend of high-stakes espionage and relatable and hilarious family drama. The question is still whether The Family Man S3 lives up to the franchise’s standing as an Indian thriller that everyone should see.

The Family Man Season 3 Storyline
The story line of Season 3 has evolved. Srikant Tiwari’s mission is more personal this time, as the story has moved to the politically tense and sensitive North-East part of the country. This change is one of a kind and points to new threats and challenging situations. The new cast additions were spot on, and they did an impressive job. We see Jaydeep Ahlawat and Nimrat Kaur joining the ensemble, and they add a new vision to the story.
Cast Performances
Jaydeep Ahlawat’s performance is something that The Family Man Season 3 will be remembered for. His action in the sensitive and politically charged north of raw emotion, are genuinely super interesting and even funny. Conversely, Kaur’s character felt underdeveloped, and it failed drastically to add substantial impact to the narrative. She was very average in her screen presence; therefore, she always remained on the periphery.
The Family Man Season 3 is Flat
The Family Man Season 3 consists of 7 episodes. And each of its episodes runs for approximately an hour. The initial run of episodes, specifically the first three, successfully recaptures the classic charm. These opening scenes take us to a very strong and nostalgic tone.

Direction & Writing
However, the narrative soon begins to struggle. The Family Season 3 struggles due to the extensive run time, and it often leads to a dull and incomplete feeling. It failed to match the consistently satisfying structure of Family Season 2. Viewers will feel a distinct loss of the tight thrill and iconic elements that defined the earlier seasons. There are some scenes that feel unnecessarily stretched, and it will be detached from the core Family Man ethos.
A Balanced View on a Beloved Franchise
The Family Man Season 3 ends with a very disappointing conclusion, and it surely falls short of previous glories. In my honest opinion, The Family Man Season 3 is a ‘decent, one-time watchable‘ show that still offers value in the current streaming landscape. The foundation of the show is carried by Manoj Bajpayee’s consistent excellence, and the inherent humour of the first three hours has saved the series from failure.

The Verdict on Srikant Tiwari’s Return
Ultimately, The Family Man Season 3 is carried on the shoulders of Manoj Bajpayee as Srikant Tiwari. His portrayal is characterised by his distinctive style and is solid until the very end. The season has its moments, but it fails at so many parameters, and it couldn’t create new iconic moments and leaves too many loose ends, which results in an incomplete feel.
The Family Man S3 is a decent effort. However, it couldn’t fully live up to the spectacular standard that was set by its predecessors. Still, it’s a good one-time watch which Family Man fans must not miss.
