Euphoria Season 3 Episode 5 Ending Explained: Are you a fan of the Euphoria series? If yes, then you might have seen in the latest episode, 5, of Euphoria Season 3 that the episode has ended with an incredibly intense cliffhanger in one of the most exciting seasons yet. This latest episode, titled “This Little Piggy“, sees Rue Bennett face one of her darkest encounters yet with Alamo Brown, prompting the big question of whether or not Rue dies in the episode.
Starring Zendaya as Rue, this HBO series continues its exploration of betrayal, survival, and the dark power structures that rule over its characters in this latest episode. It has already generated some of the biggest discussions from fans online.
What Happened in the Episode 5?
Rue’s character is put through hell in the beginning of the episode, as she becomes the subject of suspicion from Magick and Bishop. This leads to a dangerous encounter for Rue, who is taken out into the middle of Alamo Brown‘s ranch and made to dig a hole in which she is buried up to her neck.
In the shocking conclusion, Alamo rides his horse into frame, holding a polo club in hand as he gets closer and closer to Rue’s face. He raises his club and swings it down just before the screen cuts to black.

Does Rue Die in Euphoria Season 3 Episode 5?
Even though there is no definitive proof that Rue is alive, almost everything in the episode suggests she survived, albeit barely.
During earlier parts of this episode, Alamo gets excited by the business possibilities in Maddy Perez’s ventures on social media. The character, played by Alexa Demie, shows Alamo all the financial benefits of working on platforms such as Only Fans. In doing so, Maddy seems to be changing Alamo’s outlook towards Rue and her entourage.
Based on comments from Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who plays the drug dealer on Euphoria, Rue is “useful” for expanding Alamo’s empire online. And this usefulness might just save her life.
There is also one more interesting detail worth mentioning: according to Maddy, although Rue can be described as “a little crazy”, she has “a good heart”. These words from her mentor can easily become an argument in Rue’s favor.

Importance of the Ending
First and foremost, it is necessary to mention that Rue’s death would not surprise anyone because Euphoria keeps putting its characters through hell.
In addition, there is an opinion that the story of Rue is far from being finished. Because Zendaya still acts as the core of the show, her story is anticipated to carry through to other episodes.
On the other hand, the unpredictable nature of Euphoria requires that the ending be left ambiguous so that fans eagerly wait for Episode 6.
