Main Vaapas Aaunga Box Office Collection Day 1: Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, Vedang Raina, and Sharvari’s latest Hindi period romantic drama, “Main Vaapas Aaunga,” directed by the acclaimed Imtiaz Ali, has registered a decent opening at the Indian box office. Despite the film facing direct competition from several new Hindi releases, the true-story-inspired film hauled in a notable ₹1 crore+ net and attracted audiences with its emotional storyline & Diljit Dosanjh’s performance.

Main Vaapas Aaunga Box Office Collection Day 1
According to the trade website Sacnilk, Main Vaapas Aaunga earned ₹1.15 crore net on the crucial debut day across India in 2,302 shows and secured only 12.22% occupancy. The opening day figure failed to meet typical Imtiaz Ali film expectations, but still the Diljit Dosanjh starrer succeeded in ranking as the 12th top Hindi opening film in 2026 so far, followed by Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos (₹1.25 crore).
Reportedly, Main Vaapas Aaunga was made with a budget of ₹70 crore, but the opening-day figure doesn’t match what it requires. To meet the required mark, Main Vaapas Aaunga has to witness robust growth in the coming weekend days, while maintaining a steady hold on weekdays will also play a crucial role in determining its overall success.
